Map Region Adjustment

Vehicles imported from foreign markets (e.g. the US) don't automatically download the navigation maps for our region (EU). With this service, we offer to adjust the map region for a vehicle.

The adjustment is carried out remotely. After placing your order, you'll receive an email from Tesla with an "Owner Authorization Request". This allows us to make the configuration change remotely. The email contains an "Approve" button. After clicking this button, Tesla will ask you to log in and confirm. Once this is done, we can proceed with the configuration change.

Once the adjustment has been made, we revoke the authorization again - it also expires automatically after 5 days.

After the adjustment, it usually takes a few days up to a maximum of a few weeks for the changes to take effect. During this time, the vehicle should have a stable WiFi connection, as the map data is around 10-12 GiB in size.
